What do you need to know before taking the next steps in considering an instant building? Here are some of the key pillars of the Smart-Space approach and you should accept nothing less! 
QUICK TO RESPOND: Your new building will be ready to use – from order to handing over the key – in just a few short weeks. 
PLANNING: Ask about planning requirements – these are dependent on several different criteria and, contrary to popular belief, it’s hardly ever a ‘one solution fits all’ answer. At Smart-Space we have our own planning department who can both advise and/or manage your application. 
FIT FOR PURPOSE: The different uses for a building will determine the type of building you need and you should be offered the right solution for your needs. There’s reassurance in knowing that a Smart-Space building can be relocated, extended or reduced in size – allowing you to adapt further during your hire term. 
OFF-HIRING: We require just 7-days’ notice to off-hire at any point during the contract, believing that there is no point holding a customer to an agreement that no longer suits them.  
HIRE OR BUY: If you are hiring and your need for space becomes a longer term prospect, we allow you to switch to purchase when you need to. It is much more cost-effective to buy your instant building if you are planning to keep it over the long term.  
UK SUPPLY CHAIN:  We wholeheartedly support buying British as relationships are easier to build and maintain and we can source stock and support customers on demand. 
SITE SURVEYS: We will visit you to assess the site, make suggestions and check your utilities and groundworks. There is no substitution for a site visit and project that is well planned. 
PREVIOUS WORK: Ask to see case studies on completed projects to check out our experience and sector knowledge. Our teams have worked in schools, nuclear power plants, airside at airports and in any number of emergency and sensitive situations. Our health & safety team puts individual plans in place to ensure we all work to stringent standards across all aspects of the build. 
WORKFORCE: Our installation teams are directly employed. This means we are able to schedule your build with complete control, carrying the responsibility for all risk while we are on your premises.
